BuildFDM offers high-performance engineering
materials for building detailed functional prototypes. These materials
are used in a variety of applications such as conceptualization,
form, fit, function, tooling patterns, tool design, tool building,
sales presentations and as marketing materials.
ABS:
Durable engineering grade plastic.
Typical applications include: Form-Fit-Function, Concept modeling,
Feature detail, Snap-fits, Vacuum metalization and electroplating,
Investment casting and as a master for RTV molding and vacuum forming.
Offered in a variety of colors.
Material
Properties
ABSi:
The extra durability of this engineering grade plastic has higher
impact strength than normal ABS. Its appearance is semi-translucent.
Typical applications include: Automotive lenses or other applications
where transparency is required. Offered in a variety of colors.
PC-ABS:
PC-ABS is a blend of polycarbonate and ABS plastic. The superior
durability of this blend combines the strength of PC with the flexibility
of ABS. PC/ABS blends are used in production of parts for the automotive,
electronic, telecommunications, and toy industries, among others.
The blend from Stratasys has excellent thermal and mechanical properties.
It is significantly stronger than ABS, and feature detail is similar
to that of Stratasys ABS modeling material.
Material Properties
PC (Polycarbonate):
Excellent durability, high performance plastic.
Typical applications include: Form-Fit-Function, Concept modeling,
Snap-fits, Vacuum metalization and electroplating, and as a master
for RTV molding and vacuum forming. This material has a higher impact
strength and can handle higher temperatures than ABS.
Material
Properties
PC-ISO (Polycarbonate
ISO): Excellent durability, high
performance plastic.
Typical applications include: This material meets both ISO 10993-1
and USP Class VI standards. Medical applications. PC-ISO can be
sterilized using either the gamma radiation or ethylene oxide (EtO)
method.
Material
Properties
PPSF (Polyphenylsulfone):
The highest durability of any FDM thermoplastic. This high performance
material has superior impact strength, V-Zero flammability rating,
and is resistant to chemicals, acids and petroleum products.
Typical applications include: Automotive, Aerospace or any application
where your part needs to be functionally tested in an environment
of heat or chemicals.
Note: Orders for PPSF will be
analyzed to ensure the highest quality. PPSF does not work well
with some geometries. These orders may be rejected. (Please email

or call 1 866-882-6934 for more information)
Material
Properties
Clear PolyJet Resin
(FC720): Resin like material.
Typical applications include: Models that require smooth surface
finish and high feature detail. Also where transparency is desired.
Note: Orders for Clear PolyJet
Resin (FC720) are analyzed on a case by case basis to ensure the
highest quality. Capacity is currently limited for this material.
These orders may be rejected. (Please email buildfdm@stratasys.com

FDM Maxum

|
The FDM Maxum is the largest
prototyping system offered by Stratasys. Parts up to 600 x
500 x 600 mm (23.6 x 19.7 x 23.6 in) can be built. Its WaterWorks
soluble support systems offers virtually hands-free prototyping.
Models can be
produced within an accuracy of ± .127 (± .005
in) up to 127 mm (5 in.). Accuracy on models greater than
127 mm (5 in) is ± .0015 mm per millimeter (±
.0015 in/in).

FDM Titan
|
The Titan creates models using high
performance engineering materials such as polycarbonate and
ABS plastic. Multiple materials, coupled with one of the largest
build chambers in its class, make Titan a smart solution for
building, large, strong and durable parts. Parts up to 16
x 14 x 16 inches (406 x 355 x 406 mm) can be built.
Models are produced
within an accuracy of ± .005 inch ( ± .127)
up to 5 inches (127 mm). Accuracy on models greater than 5
inches (127 mm) is ± .0015 inch per inch
(± .0015 mm/mm).
